Embargo juggling on naming-rights deals

We just cleared a naming-rights renewal and our release is under embargo until 8 a.m. ET Wednesday, with a media Zoom at 10. How are you timing social copy, team site posts, and beat writer briefings to keep the narrative aligned and avoid early leaks?

I’ve had the fewest leaks by hard-timing the site for 8:00:30 ET, scheduling social for 8:02, and triggering a CDN purge at 8:00:10, with assets labeled “HOLD UNTIL 8:00 ET.” Only watch-out: some schedulers drift a few seconds, so we sync to NTP beforehand. With your 10 a.m. Zoom, do you allow beats a 9:55 tease or keep them dark until you open?

One tweak that’s saved us: stage the release on a hidden URL that 302s to a dummy page until 8:00:05, then flips to 200 so scrapers can’t cache early; we allow a 9:55 beat tease only if they text back our exact line to confirm. Small caveat — hit X/FB debuggers at 8:00:01 to refresh the OG card; @wwong59 have you had preview art stick even after a CDN purge?
